Daniel Ricciardo was born on July 1, 1989, in Perth, Australia. He is an Australian Formula One (F1) racing driver and currently drives for the Red Bull Racing team. Daniel Ricciardo started driving karts and taking part in multiple karting events at the age of nine. In 2005, he participated in the Western Australian Formula Ford Championship and achieved the eighth place. In 2011, he served as a test driver and a reserve driver for the Toro Rosso team (the Red Bull junior team). In July of the same year, he took part in the British Grand Prix, which was his first official F1 race. In 2012, he became an official driver for the Toro Rosso team. In 2014, he officially represented the Red Bull Racing team to compete in F1 events. In August 2018, he transferred from the Red Bull Racing team to the Renault team. On May 14, 2020, he confirmed that he would drive for the McLaren team starting from the 2021 season. On August 25, 2022, he announced that he would leave the McLaren team after the end of the 2022 season. On July 11, 2023, the Red Bull Racing team officially announced that Ricciardo joined the team as an official driver. On September 22, 2024, Daniel Ricciardo participated in the main race of the 2024 Formula One World Championship (F1) Singapore Grand Prix. After the race, Ricciardo said that this race might be the last F1 event in his career. Daniel Ricciardo has won honors such as the championship of the Western European Cup F1 race in 2008, the championship of the British Formula 3 race in 2010, the third place in the F1 Drivers' Championship in 2014, the Laureus World Sports Award for Breakthrough of the Year in 2015, and the championship of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula One in 2017.
