Charles Marc Hervé Perceval Leclerc, commonly known as Charles Leclerc, was born on October 16, 1997, in Monte Carlo, Monaco. He is a professional male racing driver from Monaco and currently drives for the Ferrari team in Formula One (F1). Leclerc started getting in touch with karts at the age of four and began participating in karting races when he was seven. In 2014, he started taking part in car races. He competed in the Formula Renault 2.0 in 2014, the FIA European Formula 3 Championship in 2015, the GP3 Series in 2016 and won the championship of that year, and participated in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2017 and won the championship of that year as well. In December 2017, Leclerc became a driver for the Sauber team in the 2018 F1 season, officially kicking off his F1 career. He joined the Ferrari team as a driver in 2019 and has been serving there ever since. In 2022, he ranked second in the F1 Drivers' Championship. In the first five seasons after becoming an F1 driver, Leclerc had already secured 18 pole positions and won 5 Grand Prix races. Early Experiences

On October 16, 1997, Charles Leclerc was born in Monte Carlo, Monaco. He is the second among the three brothers in the family. Leclerc's grandfather owned a company that produced auto parts. His father, Hervé Leclerc, was a racing driver who had competed in Formula 3 (F3) and was highly respected in the karting community.

When Leclerc was four years old, he once told his father that he didn't feel well and didn't want to go to kindergarten. So his father took him to the karting track run by his good friend, Philippe Bianchi. It was there that Leclerc had his first encounter with racing cars. He chose a red kart and fell in love with the sport of racing just after driving three laps. From then on, he began to dream that one day he could become a racing driver. Philippe Bianchi's son was Jules Bianchi, a former F1 racing driver, who later became Leclerc's mentor and godfather. They would practice driving together, and Jules would take care of Leclerc.
